What are the symptoms of thrush?
Thrush is detected with the presence of a strong and nauseating odour while cleaning the hoof. The appearance of a dark area with a soggy texture is coupled with a humid and white powder. This is not to be confused with sole exfoliation which is a chalky and dry white powder.
What is the recommended dose?
When you detect a symptom of thrush, start the treatment as follows: Apply Optimum Thrush Away once or twice per day for a week or until the infected and moist areas disappear. Make sure that the area dries up and hardens during the treatment. Continue to apply Optimum Thrush Away daily for three to four days after the complete elimination of bacteria. Do not use Optimum Thrush Away for prevention, use it for treatment when signs of thrush or white line disease start to show.
